The worst thing to happen at the Oscars would be if nothing happened.
And the red-carpet would never let that happen ! What I loved most this year was the presention of color on the red-carpet. Sure there was black and there was some white and mostly the theme was “play-it-safe”. Therefore those little risks that stood out.
Lupita Nyong’o pale-blue Prada looked divine and it’s the pastel on the carpet that we dont see much, that I loved the most. However, the Fred Leigton jewelry and the headband in particular seemed unnecssary and too princessy.
Sandra Bullock’s wavy curls and dark make-up were perfect choices for Alexander McQueen gown. And those ear-cuffs – LOVE !
Angelina Jolie’s red-carpet appearacances are rare, but one thing we know is that consistently delivers( remember this ? ) . This time though – I was left wanting more inspite of the Elie Saab Couture gorgeous gown. Mainly because of the hair & make-up deparatment.
And now finally – my winners of the big night !
While the backwards-necklace was a repeat strategy from last years’ , I absoultely loved Jennifer Lawrence’s hair and make-up. The jewels stood out and the red Dior was as charming as her undenying humor.
Simple & Statesque – Charlize Theron looked very dramatic in her Christian Dior couture gown.
Kate Hudson might be the unanimous choice for the best dressed of the night. Oozing glamor and dripping with sexiness in her work-of-art Versace gown – she was hands down the winner on the carpet !
It would be unfair not to mention how adorable Matthew Mcconaughey and Camilla Alves looked and how much their outfits complemented each others’ . Him , so dapper in Dolce & Gabanna and Her – in a powder-pink , delicate Gabriela Cadena gown.
Not helping with my hopeless crush over Kevin Spacey – looking polished, sophisticated and every bit the hero he is in Burberry !! ( don’t judge me !)
Lots of love & appreciation to each and everyone for the year-load of enetrtainment and such fashion moments.

I completely missed the Oscars this year!! I was fast asleep when it came on and only remembered around lunchtime the next day!
I love seeing all the hair and the dresses. So stunning.
