I’ve got way too many black dresses and black skirts and black shoes and black tops in my closet. But they are all different and unique in their own way. I find myself reaching out for this color when I am feeling uninspired, don’t have time, when I am in a great mood and also when I want to celebrate. They don’t call it timeless for nothing! That’s the thing about timeless things – like the chocolate chip cookies grandma makes all the time, or the pizza at the corner shop on the street you grew up on – we don’t call them boring – they are classics! Besides, I have a certain affinity with this color. It’s the lawyer’s color code – the color I’ve seen dad in mostly. I associate it with pride, honor and strength.
