Every morning she chased me down the hall with a brush in her hand. And every morning, I refused to get my hair braided. Sitting me down – brushing my hair till it shone, then two tight braids hanging like bananas from my head and two black satin ribbons. As usual my mom won every morning! This past weekend, we sat down and I willingly let mom do my hair. As she started brushing it – with the hairstyle youtube video playing on the iPad, we inevitably went down the memory lane – laughing as we remembered how I learnt my tables during the hair routine or recited those school poems . Getting lost in those childhood memories will never get old – it only becomes beautiful with time. Like polka dots. They would never age, never go out of style. From my childhood polka swimsuits and mini-mouse skirts to this dress and those childhood memories – somethings will always remain close to heart !
