I very vividly remember seeing the picture of a bridge at a local restaurant. It was a warm July afternoon and my heart was bursting with excitement. Maybe because I was in Paris. The old gentleman behind the bar told me that it was an ancient bridge somewhere in the city and he wasn’t even sure if it existed anymore or not. He tried to give us directions as much as we tried with our touristy knowledge of the arrondissements and understanding of the language, we just couldn’t find it after hours of wandering. That image stayed with me when I came back and I found myself thinking about it from time to time. I would imagine how the bridge must have served as the meeting point for lovers uniting after years of separation. And the first snow flakes of the season falling around them celebrating their love. And where beautiful women must have walked on rainy Parisian nights and fate sending their umbrellas flying in the wind making them land at the feet of their soulmates. Even though never
actually getting to see that bridge from the picture, I think I carried with me, something very magical ( aside from memories from Paris of course ! ) A few days ago, I came across a small bridge not too far from my house. I wonder what its story is. But I know that I am going to to walk there and hang some mistletoe – for the lovers that cross it =))
Let’s talk about my love for bulky knits. You probably know by now, how much I love cozy-oversized clothing so this sweater just fits the bill. And this time, I was even sold at the color. Camel knits are hugely popular this season ( how adorable is this camel color coat ). The trick with rocking heavy knits is pairing them with fitted jeans or pencil skirts so you dont get lost in all that yarn. I decided to elevate the look with a headwrap ( which I am swooning over ever since I bought it and it’s less than $10 !! ) – you can also use fur collars that are so hot this season.
