As 2014 comes to an end, I can’t help but look back at the year that so daftly whizzed by. I will not lie – there were times, when I thought it was going interminably slow – especially when things weren’t going  the way I wanted them to and there were times when I so desperately wanted time to slow down and move in the pace I wanted it to. That’s the one thing I have been learning year after year – we have no control over time – but every little bit of control on how we want to use it. This past year was a roller coaster ride full of ups & downs. I have made many mistakes but also learnt from them. One of the biggest things I learnt this year is that it is never too late to listen to your heart and go after your dreams. Never in my wildest dreams had I seen myself pouring my life and soul in a blog revolving around fashion, beauty and glamor – but my wonderful and ever supportive family & you guys have made it possible. I cannot thank each and everyone of you enough for being a part of this journey with me. You have no idea how much it means to me – all of you and everything you do – sending me emails, commenting on social media, buying the newspaper that had the smallest mention about me, sharing tips and virtually joining us on our trips, visiting places and sending suggestions for photo shoot locations, noticing the smallest edits on the blog design and giving feedback, sending all those sweet messages on the blog’s anniversary and when we closed in on our home – for all this – a BIG THANK YOU!!

I have faced some health issues this year ( which I am not ready to share yet), that have affected me emotionally in a way, more than I could imagine. But Love Playing Dressup, besides being a creative outlet, proved to be a major support system for me. I cannot even begin to think how I could have gone past this year without my husband being by my side – his undying patience and love is what I am eternally grateful for.

But inspite of the lows, there has been so much goodness that I was blessed with this year – closing on our home, one of my best friends’ having her baby, my brother becoming a lawyer and joining dad, getting to spend a full month with mom, amazing friends for life at work, moving close to one of our closest friends, running the 5K …

I am very excited for the new year – I am already sensing a lot of love and light for all of us. We just have to give it all we have and its going to turn out to be the best year so far for each one of us. I can’t wait to see what does 2015 have in store for us.
