As I try to think about why has there been a hiatus of more than a week between now and the last blog post, only one word comes to mind – #vacationmode! If you are following me on Instagram, you know that the husband and I are on our “annymoon” (get it? =)) ) . Our first stop was Copenhagen which exceeded all our expectations. On the first day, we walked along the extensive pier watching the tall ships, grabbing ice-cream and looking for the extremely popular little mermaid. After that we rented bikes to head to the Kongens Have ( King’s garden). As we biked around the city and got lost in the maze of streets, we passed so many colorful buildings and beautiful cafes that we had to stop almost every two minutes to click pictures.
Nyhavn was the area that just blew our mind. If you have seen pictures of the colorful buildings in Copenhagen, they are most likely from this area. Nyhavn was bustling with tourists, artists and locals alike. There was jazz music streaming from each cafe and the smell of Nutella from the street carts filled the air. It was pure heaven! It wasn’t until we sat down for dinner that we realized how tired we were from all the biking. I am so glad, I wore flats for the day! I packed a couple of different styles of the foldable Walk in Clouds flats for our trip as they are comfortable and also because they can be easily folded into small pouches, thus not taking up too much space in the suitcase.
In my opinion, with these foldable flats you can have your cake and eat it too – aka – wear your heels on the dancing floor but have a comfortable walk from your car to the club. ( you are welcome! ) Personally, I am happy about not having to stuff my sneakers in my office bag or even worse carry them in my hands and walk into my office after switching into heels in the elevator =)) One of you lucky readers can also win a pair of ballet flats of your choice – enter the giveaway below.

Thank you so much Jessica 🙂
Feels like forever since I’ve been to your blog or even on your IG acct! I went back to work a few months back and at first it was part time but now all I do is work, and take care of the kids and house….so not much time to visit my favorite bloggers! You look cute as alway! Thanks for the chance! I love flats! I have one pair of foldables but they hurt the back of my heel because they’re elasticized….do these do that?
you are just the sweetest Caitlyn.. thank you so much for stopping by amidst all the craziness. I always wonder how moms do it all 🙂 kudos to you :):) xo
I know what you are saying about elasticized flats – I had one really long back and I think I only wore it once or twice because it gave me blisters. The elastic in these flats isn’t as taut – so it doesn’t hurt. If it puts any context – I wore these almost every day on our trip and walked a LOT. so definitely comfortable based on my experience 🙂
