Never in a million years, when I was sitting back at home in India or studying late at night on my masters project at Northeastern, had I imagined actually attending Fashion Week. Had I fantasized about it? Sure! Had I mentally dressed up, strutted down the streets of New York, applauding at the models walking up and down the ramp – absolutely!

When I started Love Playing Dressup – attending New York Fashion Week was a major goal of mine. I can hardly believe that this season was actually my third consecutive season attending Fashion Week. I wanted to be in the venue and just witness the fascinating world, let alone get a front row seat to the creations of coveted designers!!! There are throngs of photographers squeezed in the space, lined outside the venues, yelling out at you to pose for them. That alone gives me goosebumps.

An occasion as special as Fashion Week calls for a classic charm. This blue silk taffeta full-skirted dress with sparkles draped – now that’s poetry!
