A few week ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Providence, Rhode Island to attend StyleWeek. StyleWeek is a fashion event showcasing the work of  emerging designers! The mister and I went down to Providence for the weekend and had such a wonderful time. The weekend was filled with fashion shows, brunches, celebrations and meetings. Amit and I tried to squeeze in a little time to walk around the city – but it definitely wasn’t enough. From whatever little we were able to explore, I absolutely loved Providence, With red brick structures all over the city, historic buildings, mini bridges – this little city definitely has quite some charm.

We stayed at the Omni Providence Hotel.  This was the view from our room – the State House Building. It was also so beautifully lit up at night ( sorry – I forgot to take a picture )

I wore this dress to the after-party. It remains one of my favorite dresses in my closet and fish for occasions to bring it out. You can see its first appearance on the blog here ( the color looks different because the pictures were taken in different times of the day + indoors/outdoor )

how pretty is this brunch spread? 

The organizers of StyleWeek and the team from the City of Providence office were such a fun bunch – it felt like we had known each other for forever! We shared endless laughs over mimosas, ran together from one event to another and had such a blast together. There were a few other bloggers from different cities and it was so great to meet and connect with them. Alina and I are already making plans to see each other soon =))

 I can’t believe we hadn’t been to Providence until now – considering it is only an hours’ drive from home. Amit and I are planning to go to Federal Hill once summer hits – we got some really great  restaurant recommendations from the locals. There is this Moroccan restaurant that even serves hookah that Amit is dying to go to =))  xo -Neha
