Last weekend, the mister and I went to Newport, Rhode Island for a weekend getaway – one that I desperately needed. Work has been crazy lately –  can’t-even-find-the-time-to-breathe kinda busy (that is exactly how my dramatic side puts it! ) It was seriously one of the most relaxing weekends I had in a longest time. The week is almost over, but I still feel pretty fresh – that is saying a lot! I will be doing a mini guide to Newport next week – so stay tuned …

Since we have already been to the popular mansions a couple of times before, we decided to spend the day being outside and simply enjoy the weather.  I wore this Tuckernuck dress and it made me crave for summer so much! Lets say, if there is just one dress you are going to buy this summer – then it has to be this one! It has a very rich…rather luxe look – think fancy white party worthy!  ( you know I am still waiting for my invitation to the Hamptons =)) )  It can also be used as a cover-up – perfect for those summer beach outings or pool parties.

We wanted to walk up to the lighthouse, but the wind really picked up, so we decided to go for a late brunch ( second one in the day! ) For the record, pancakes are a good idea any time of the day.

Oh and fries! Just make sure not to get any ketchup on your white dress!
