Ever since I got this yellow rain parka from Wilsons Leather, I have been waiting for it to rain. But the April showers never came. However, the minute it got to May, it has been pouring! Every. Single. Day. Over the weekend, the sun came out for a little cameo, so the mister and I decided to go into the city. I had been wanting to go see the blooms in the Boston Commons, it was just the perfect day for that! The forecast showed intermittent showers, ofcourse I grabbed my shiny jacket from its box. It even comes in a pretty powdery blue color.
I was so over wearing my Hunter boots all week – that I decided to brave the city in my heels. Even on the famous cobblestones filled Acorn Street. Try it! =))
When we first moved out from the city to the suburbs, I thought I wouldn’t survive. How could one live without the sound of the sirens? We used to regularly go into the city then, almost ever weekend and sometimes, even on weekdays. Infact, we got a toll pass because we were going there so often. Now, I feel so comfortable in our suburban haven and with our lives so busy, we dont miss it so much. Amit calls it growing up. *eyeroll* =)) Now when we go out on occasions, for meeting friends, for shoots ofcourse, for brunches and date nights ( if pizza and Netflix aren’t winning some day! ) – I still enjoy the city vibe as much. We grabbed lunch at Blu Restaurant with a view of the downtown and the theater district, watching the crowd, the traffic and the rain as it slowly started to fall against the big massive windows.
Have yourselves a wonderful week. xo – Neha
