I am atleast a few years behind in trying Chia seeds, but boy am I hooked! If you are like me – always struggling to find healthy but delicious breakfast options and moreover – vegetarian ones – this recipe is a blessing! Trust me – its a revolution! All of you who know me or follow me on Instagram – know that I am ALWAYS hungry! I love this recipe because its quick to prepare, healthy, filling and almost feels like having dessert for breakfast. That’s a blessing in my books.
Oats with Almond Milk & Chia Seeds
- Old Fashioned oats
- Chia seeds
- Almond milk
- Bananas/Raisins/Apples/Berries/Nuts ( walnuts, pecans, almonds)
1. Soak the oats overnight in almond milk ( and put in the refrigerator )
2. In the morning, add more milk if you like & top with anything your heart fancies ( I mix it up – with different combination of nuts & fruits – Walnuts+Bananas is my favorite though)
3) Sprinkle chia seeds (generously)
Let me know if you give this a try =)) xo – Neha

With warmer weather just around the corner, I think I am ready ( more than ready! ) to stop being a winter-zombie. The extra hours of sunlight are already cheering me up and are actually putting me in revamping mode. Its amazing – what a bunch of fresh flowers can do to a space ( and your mood! ) Bring in a few earthy vases, some kitchen plants & cute planters, change the duvet cover – a little sprucing here & a little color there & its not so meh inside! There are so many accents & accessories out there and the shelves in the stores are bursting with options – so I’ve narrowed down some of my favorites that will brighten up your home & not break the bank ( less than $40 – pretty sweet huh =)) ) Happy Spring ~ xo- Neha
I want to say so much – so many stories to tell, so many looks I want to share, so many holiday deals I want you to know. Being home (India) for vacation got crazy and I ended up running around more than I could relax. But its all good – I am with family…meeting childhood friends. This is greatest gift one can ever receive! But has it been all play and no work? no … Love Playing Dressup has not been on a break and is stepping into some amazing ventures – I can’t wait to share with you guys =)) The new year has so much in store for all of us – I just know it!
Tonight, we leave on our second backpacking trip. Scared am I? Yes absolutely – excited? Beyond bounds. Although these pages will be taking a break for a few weeks – I promise, I will more than make up for it once I am back =))
Until then – wherever this post finds you – I hope you have the most wonderful Holiday Season with your loved ones. I will be logging our trip to Egypt & Turkey on Instagram and Facebook as we go – so follow along. I’ll see you next year. Be Good. Lots of Love. xo – Neha / Love Playing Dressup
