Bedroom Accents & a Giveaway

photo 4 (1)“Me & You – Just Us Two” – Sex & the City

Ever since we moved in our house last year, we haven’t made any huge upgrades or bought much of fancy new furniture. However, we keep on adding little pieces here and there to give our nooks & corners a personality of their own. Our master bedroom is easily one of my favorite rooms in our house ( I simply cannot wait to share pictures of the recent special bedroom shoot we did recently =)) ) – but meanwhile here are some really cute finds that I completely adore.

If you are like me – always struggling to find healthy but delicious breakfast options and moreover – vegetarian ones – this recipe is a blessing! Trust me – its a revolution! All of you who know me or follow me on Instagram – know that I am ALWAYS hungry! I love this recipe because its quick to prepare, healthy, filling and almost feels like having dessert for breakfast. That’s a blessing in my books.

Oats with Almond Milk & Chia Seeds

Ingredients:

  • Old Fashioned oats
  • Chia seeds
  • Almond milk
  • Bananas/Raisins/Apples/Berries/Nuts ( walnuts, pecans, almonds)

Method :

1. Soak the oats overnight in almond milk ( and put in the refrigerator )
2. In the morning, add more milk if you like &  top with anything your heart fancies ( I mix it up – with different combination of nuts & fruits – Walnuts+Bananas is my favorite though)
3) Sprinkle chia seeds (generously)

Let me know if you give this a try =)) xo – Neha

Spring Home – Under $40

LovePlayingDressup-book_photoshoot_tulips_bostonblogger_petiteblogger-3With warmer weather just around the corner, I think I am ready ( more than ready! ) to stop being a winter-zombie. The extra hours of sunlight are already cheering me up and are actually putting me in revamping mode. Its amazing – what a bunch of fresh flowers can do to a space ( and your mood! ) Bring in a few earthy vases, some kitchen plants  & cute planters, change the duvet cover – a little sprucing here & a little color there & its not so meh inside! There are so many accents & accessories out there and the shelves in the stores are bursting with options – so I’ve narrowed down some of my favorites that will brighten up your home & not break the bank ( less than $40 – pretty sweet huh =)) ) Happy Spring ~ xo- Neha

Closet Reveal

LovePlayingDressup-ClosetReveal-NehaGandhi-Blogger-1Today I am giving you a little peek into my closet.  This is the place where I play dressup the most. Styling sessions happen here – sometimes with my husband standing by the door and patiently nodding, approving or offering suggestions. Sometimes, I would curl up here with a hot cup of tea and a book. Or Ill be sprawled on the floor and work on the blog. This is a place of love and inspiration and I always try to keep it that way – even after it feels like its been hit by a tornado at the end of each day =)) Its my little alcove in the house – my niche!

Like I had posted on Instagram, my husband was working on a few pieces for my closet – the mirror being one of them. He converted my boring drug store-bought mirror into this beautiful piece of art. I got the cabinet a couple of years ago at an estate sale and he upgraded it to what now holds all my accessories and other pieces. We also painted the plain white blinds with white and gold alternated bands, which brings the whole room together and is so me.LovePlayingDressup-ClosetReveal-NehaGandhi-Blogger-2LovePlayingDressup-ClosetReveal-BloggerCloset-NehaGandhi-3LovePlayingDressup-ClosetReveal-BloggerCloset-NehaGandhi-4LovePlayingDressup-ClosetReveal-NehaGandhi-Blogger-6LovePlayingDressup-ClosetReveal-BloggerCloset-NehaGandhi-7LovePlayingDressup-ClosetReveal-BloggerCloset-NehaGandhi-8LovePlayingDressup-ClosetReveal-NehaGandhi-Blogger-9 LovePlayingDressup-ClosetReveal-NehaGandhi-Blogger-10 LovePlayingDressup-ClosetReveal-BloggerCloset-NehaGandhi-11LovePlayingDressup-ClosetReveal-BloggerCloset-NehaGandhi-12LovePlayingDressup-ClosetReveal-BloggerCloset-NehaGandhi-13 LovePlayingDressup-ClosetReveal-BloggerCloset-NehaGandhi-15 LovePlayingDressup-ClosetReveal-BloggerCloset-NehaGandhi-16LovePlayingDressup-ClosetReveal-BloggerCloset-NehaGandhi-17LovePlayingDressup-ClosetReveal-BloggerCloset-NehaGandhi-18LovePlayingDressup-NehaGandhi-BloggerCloset_17LovePlayingDressup-ClosetReveal-BloggerCloset-NehaGandhi-5
